Have you decided to follow Jesus? We want to help you know what to do after you take that step of faith. Our Now What? class is 90 minutes and is designed to give you practical, biblical information that can help you as you learn to be a more dedicated follower of Jesus. Scroll to the bottom of our homepage and click the Now What? link to register or contact our Discipleship Pastor, Andrew Johnson.
In the meantime, here are a few things you can be doing:
1. Be faithful to church
Going to church every Sunday is critical to growing as a follower of Christ. Make a commitment to be at Sycamore Creek Church as often as you can.
2. Read the Bible
Sundays are a good start. Just like you wouldn't eat once a week to keep your physical body healthy, your spiritual health requires time with God each and every day. If you don't have a Bible, you can pick one up after any church service on Sunday.
Below are 3 reading plans we suggest to get your started:
- First Steps Reading Plan
In this plan, you will begin to understand what it means to walk with Christ.
31 days to help you learn to think, act and be more like Jesus.
- 60 to Start
In this plan you will do 3 things every day: meet with Jesus in the Gospels, read in the Epistles how His disciples lived, and grow closer to Him through prayer.
All of these plans are provided by YouVersion, a free online Bible with reading plans and other resources to help you grow in your walk with Christ.
3. Be Baptized
All through the New Testament we see people accepting Christ as their Savior and following it up with baptism. To find out more about baptism and to see when our next scheduled baptism service is, click here.
4. Attend Discover Sycamore Creek
Discover Sycamore will help you understand what makes our church function and how you can partner with us. To sign up or get more information about Discover Sycamore Creek, click here.
5. Join a Small Group
It's important to spend time with people who are trying to live like Christ in our world. That's what small groups are all about. Get connected to a small group and do life together with other Christians!
